Typing Shield is a browser extension that lets you draft text in an extension overlay before pasting it into a web page.

What the extension stores

• Settings such as theme, pause state, and which field types should open the overlay.
• Local counters such as daily free uses and keystrokes protected.
• License tokens only if paid licensing is enabled in a future release.

What the extension does not collect

• Typing Shield does not send your draft text to Typing Shield servers.
• Typing Shield does not sell personal data.
• Typing Shield does not include third-party analytics in the extension package.

If you contact support, the website sends the name, email address, and message you provide so we can reply.

Permissions

The extension needs broad page access to detect editable fields and place the private editor over them. The extension runs locally in your browser.
